At Dezignwall we love to share with our designer audience the new products and trends on the market. It’s why we as an industry hit the tradeshows, expos, open houses and showcase homes each year, so that we can continue to provide our clients with innovative and timeless design.
So, when we heard that one of our Dezignwall favorites, Clarus Glassboards, was launching a new product, we had to learn more.
We caught up with Nicole Ott, the new head of digital marketing for Clarus Glassboards, to find out more about their latest line of new product.
FEATURED MEMBER: Clarus Glassboards
DW - Before you tell us about your new product line, can you share with us a little bit about Clarus Glassboards?
Nicole Ott - Clarus Glassboards is the leading manufacturer of high quality glass products and writable surfaces. We do glass dry erase boards and architectural systems. Basically, our products provide an esthetically pleasing solution that can be customized for brands in the market.
DW - Great! As designers, we always want to know more about a company’s history. This keeps us informed and it prepares us as experts for our customers. Can you share a bit about Clarus Glassboards history?
Nicole Ott - So, the story is actually very interesting. There were two founders who originally started the company. Robby Whites and Jeremy Rincon.
I know you’ve probably heard this story about other business, but truly, they first started out of a garage in 2009. Their first year was a lot of learning. They have only been around for 8 years. But the company has grown beyond their imagination of what it ever would become.
One of cool things about Clarus Glassboards is we manufacture our products from start to finish within our facility. None of our competitor can do this from start to finish. This means our product is manufactured in the USA.
DW – Before you revel the new product, what was the problem you guys were looking to solve when developing this solution?
Nicole Ott - In the marketplace, there are a lot of whiteboards. Whiteboards aren’t a very esthetically pleasing product solution. They don’t clean up well. They leave ghosting. They do not complete a brand as well as a glassboard.
We knew was there was a need for a brand appropriate option for companies. Whether it be for healthcare, education or corporations. The solution we designed provided a sleek and functional approach to writable surfaces on workstation walls in the market.
DW - Ok. So, let’s hear about the new product…Adapt
Nicole Ott - We’ve launched our other glass board products and over time we kept hearing from customers “I wish we could add these to work stations”. And everybody knows there a ton of cubicles in the market, basically in every vertical. A lot of them need a refresh. So, we wanted to come up with a solution, because we have a solution, where companies could take our writable glass surfaces and apply them to work stations.
So, now what you have with Adapt is an easy to install solution that can basically refresh any work station in the marketplace.
So what that does is you build collaboration areas into work places that you’ve never been able to before within workstations and other work areas.
DW - I love the name “Adapt”. Can you share some insights into how you chose the name?
Nicole Ott - We love to name our products after what they offer our customers. The Adapt product provides a market solution for adapting dozens of furniture system workstations and cubicles. It just made sense!
DW - Nicole, I love this new product line. I think it’s a great addition to the options commercial designers have not only for office areas. But I can see this as a fun way to organize restaurants, schools, after school learning programs, fitness facilities and a ton of opportunities.
Thank you Nicole for sharing with Dezignwall. We are excited to see how this extremely creative and innovative community of commercial designers, builders and business owners incorporate your new Adapt System into their design projects, globally.
