The new layout changes that Dezignwall recently introduced are geared toward displaying more product (and project) views, while providing enough details to tee up a conversation with the manufacturer or prompt an RFQ.
Dezignwall lands somewhere between Pinterest and an Online Directory -- Architzer, Steelyard, Designer Pages, etc. – Combining product discovery and sourcing, with the ability to engage socially peer-to-peer.
The main differences being, Dezignwall is:
2) Dezignwall is geared specifically for the design professional (NOT the home owner)

#1: Display More Product Views
In the world of interiors, designers don't just want to see a product from one view. They want to get a better sense of the piece. Or if you're posting project (install images), you want to share multiple views of your project, grouped in an order that makes sense.
Currently, Dezignwall is handling this through their New Batch Upload Beta Program (Click to Join Beta)
The New "VIEW MORE" gallery lets you display up to 11of the products (or projects) alternate views.
GET A CLOSER LOOK - Simply click an image within the gallery to get a popup that gives you a closer look. Want more product details? Just select an image and you'll be whisked to the products image page.
Checkout the New Multiple View’s Layout! Now you can display up to 12 additional images of your products or projects!
#2: Get Just Enough Details to Make a Decision
In a world of tweets and hashtags, designers want just enough information to find what they need and ask questions later.
So, Dezignwall goes one step beyond Pinterest, with enough details such as: 144-character description, dimensions, weight, and sample pricing. Yet keeps it simple compared to online directories -- Architizer, Designer Pages, Steelyard (Todl), etc. -
So, that when designers and specifiers have a question, they go to you for all of the juicy details!
#3: NEW -- Discontinued Item Feature
The worst thing ever, is to have an item in mind...Only to discover it's been discontinued!
With Dezignwall's New Discontinue Item feature, you can truly begin to treat your uploaded images as an Interactive Virtual Product Catalog - Complete with the ability to mark your items as "Discontinued" -- Dezignwall took this a step further with the ability to post up to 6-Suggested Alternate Items.
This helps keep your customers in your family of products.

#4: New Custom Catalog Button Tool
A unique feature on Dezignwall is the ability to organize your products into Custom Catalogs. To make this easier, Dezignwall has launched a new Custom Catalog Button Tool - Now you can easily make a label for "Wall Sconces", "Chandeliers", "Pendants", "Floor Lamps", etc." - This makes it easier for designers to find and search for your products by category. The ability to customize text and color makes it simple to brand your catalogs.
Here's a Tip - Most companies simply replicate the colors and category labels from their website. This provides a branded experience for your customers.
#5: Share Socially!
Share your uploaded images socially! The benefit to sharing your Dezignwall Post socially is "Conversion".
Dezignwall provides a FREE Request for Quote feature, which means when you share your post socially, your followers on - Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc. - the image is clickable. Which redirects followers to your Dezignwall page. Where they are can request quotes directly from you.
In other words, your Facebook followers are easily moved down your sales funnel, as a qualified lead.
The future of commercial design collaboration is "social".
